From Dublin to London

Yesterday we arrived in London, had dinner, and went to Waterloo to have a breath-taking view of London at sunset from the London Eye. After that, we walked by the Big Ben, Tower of Parliament and Westminster, and through the very centre of the city, before we went back to the hotel.
Today, we had a hectic day. In the morning we went to Buckingham Palace. The crowd could be discouraging at this time of the year, but we managed to make it. After that, lunch in St James Park and a visit to the London Vaults. Most of them enjoyed it a lot and they got really scared. Gabriela laughed a lot at them. After a stop at the hotel, we went to meet people at Futureversity for an exchange. We ended up going for dinner with 29 young leaders from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds. We hope that multicultural London becomes a chance for our group to start accepting diversity, which is one of the most important aims of the programme.

Dublin

We spent a wonderful day in Dublin on Monday 26th July.
In the morning we went to Croke Park, one of biggest stadiums in Europe. We had lunch and walked through the streets of Dublin to the Guinness Storehouse. After that we went to a GAA club where Cormack introduced Irish sports such us gaelic football and hurling. A group of Irish teenagers spent the day with us and shared sports dinner, Irish dancing, Argentine presentation and loads of fun with us.
Thanks Elaine, John, Eoin, Maraid, Cormack, the dancers and everyone at the Na Fianna Club.

Argentine Stall @ Super Quinn

On Saturday morning the students set up an Argentinean stall at Super Quinn Supermarket.
Their challenge was to interact with a lot of people, ask them questions, perform little tasks and give out Argentinean food and drink in exchange for their participation.

Hectic Life in Limerick

We have been living a hectic life in Ireland

On Saturday 24th June a couple of members of Astral Gardens (Eoin and Shane) shared some of their songs with us. Also, our counsellor Jack performed a couple of his raps. Juan, Angel and Emmanuel also played harmonica, bongoes and guitar.

On Saturday morning, we visited Bunratty Castle in Shannon. In the picture you can see Santiago and Angel wearing interesting hats they bought at the castle shop.

On Friday 23rd July we had the pleasure to spend time at the Clare Youth Service. The gathering was the culmination of an event that brought together teenagers from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland through music. All the teens played songs. Emmanuel played La Cumparsita and Angel played El Choclo for them. It was an amazing evening. An incredible atmosphere. Our kids loved it and they didn't want to leave.

These are Santiago and Ramiro appreciating street art in Clare. On Saturday these two plus Emmanuel went to pain some murals in Limerick. Pictures coming soon.

Antú, Martina, Rosario and Jeronimo before class on Friday morning.

On Thursday evening, we did sports. You can see the girls, Gaby and Mariano outside the Sports Arena.
The boys from Euskal Echea and some under 16 players from UL Bohemians attended a rugby training session run by coach Graham.
